Autism changes the life of the whole family, but helps you become a better person and more real! This is amazing. As a teacher, I know a few parents that are so inspiring, hardworking, and able to help their children. Only in one case so far I came across parents’ divorce, whose hate towards each other was larger than their love for their autistic son. That was one sad story that I’ll never forget. Some people simply don’t deserve to be parents. Nevertheless, there are many good stories. Our son was diagnosed out of the blue last year with autism. His autism is hidden. He is 9 now. We are on our son’s journey to see the world through his eyes. Many friends don’t understand the diagnosis or why we got a diagnosis.

We hope the diagnosis and explaining it to others allows others to make more allowances and understand the daily challenges. My son has Autism, he is 19 now.

It’s been an incredible journey watching him grow into a man. I am so proud of him as he starts another chapter in his life. He was excepted into the animation program in college after holding a 95-100 percent in his comic class through high school, he starts in September.
