And our locals are having to clean up after them! Camping is relatively low risk re the virus provided people social distance and behave responsibly. Campers shpuld not leave litter, avoid damaging property. Its large groups of people who are all close together are the problem. Iv looked at the restrictions several times and it does not mention you can’t go camping. Please someone tell me if I’m wrong and have missed it. As a genuine camper who loves to get away from everything & everyone, but would never dream of leaving a trace …My husband has camped all the way through. I cant see a problem with this. The problem is these people are a menace to the national parks and beaches. They have no respect and leave rubbish everywhere. Camping illegally, lighting fires, and littering wasn’t the norm last year and shouldn’t be this year.

I’m am disgusted & saddened that everwhere, beaches, beauty spots, parks & Sorry for what I said while we were trying to park the camper shirt remote spots around the country are being used in this way … it feels like we just stepped back years with our respect of nature & the wonderful places around us .

I bet they wouldn’t have been spoken to if they were illegal immigrants, most likely given blankets and food and helped onto a luxury coach and driven to the nearest housing and benefits office. Many don’t seem to have the common sense to follow the rules so that they don’t end up responsible for infecting and killing people.
